Halloween Decorating: Turn a Corner Witchy!

This is the tiny little area behind my front door. Mr. B. built the little shelf with hooks and cubbies. Usually it is filled with hats and gloves in the winter, shovels and pails in the summer.

Now it is where the household witch hung her hat, robe and broom when she came home from a hard night's flying.

I added a few of the books that had "witch" or "spell" in the title,
a blackbird...

and some of the cute little jars I got at Michael's craft store a couple of years ago.

The little bag to the left is a protection charm that's always hanging there.

While I was clearing things out and putting things up, you'll never guess who came to visit....

Around the corner, I covered the lamp with some torn cheesecloth and spiders....

It looks better from a distance than the picture would make you think.

A couple of weeks ago, I got this great Martha Stewart window cling skeleton. It looks pretty cool from the street in our big window. It looks even cooler from the inside, when the sun is shining through it!

Awesome deco! I love those jars at Michael's. After Halloween I hope I can pick one or two up in post holiday sale.

I love those bottles. I will have to go to Michaels and see if they still carry them. I think Tanner is the perfect addition, but I doubt he will stay there for long!

Have a wonderful weekend.

I love your decorations! Halloween is probably the most fun holiday to decorate for.

Angela, yeah, the best time to get stuff is the day after! Everything goes on sale super cheap!

Shelle, the robe and the broom are things I have out all year (not displayed in the doorway, though!), so it's not a big stretch to use them for decorating, lol!

Vixen, I was just in Michael's today, and they had very similar bottles. I have to assume most of the stores have basically the same stock. They are only a dollar and change here, so they aren't too expensive. Nice, cheapy way to decorate!

Tori, I'm just getting started, lol! Wait til I break out the brain jello mold...
