Another week of playing "catch up" after the Great Water Heater Break Down. It never fails that you get behind one week, it takes 3 or 4 weeks to catch back up, right? So another week of super shopping, lol:
Sunday: Quesadillas, one of the ultimate cheap foods. A bag of tortillas, shredded cheese and black beans.
Monday: Chabrocanoodle: Egg noodles, chunks of grilled chicken breast, broccoli florets, parmesan, garlic and olive oil. Got a huge family pack of chicken on sale, so it will stretch through a few meals.
Tuesday: Tuna salad on homemade bread, fruit.
Wednesday: "Unstuffed" Peppers. Basically stuffed peppers, but instead of stuffing the peppers, I mix the ground beef, rice, spices and tomato juice, spread it in a pan and lay slices of bell pepper on top. Another super cheap meal when we use the frozen sliced peppers left from last years garden.
Thursday: Leftover day (and payday, so we'll start again then.)

On Friday, one of my internet friends is driving down to meet me for coffee! How exciting is that! It's someone who I have so much in common with and I can't wait to meet her!
Anyone have any exciting plans for this week?

exciting plans... hmmm... im old enough i like quiet and boring! im hoping to get through my bathroom projects this week and im determined to revise at least one chapter of my current novel-in-progress or NIP as i like to think of it :). happy almost spring! so glad to hear the talent show went well.. i need to think about menus for the week, too!
My mom used to make stuffed peppers. I actually like te filling but am not a fan of green peppers. I love the red, yellow and orange though. Might have to get your recipe.
Looking thorugh my reader there are a lot of Yuck Monday posts! LOL I so agree though. I am headed to AL this week for my moms surgery and to FINALLY get my son back.
My mom, too! I loved her stuffed peppers but have never tried to make them myself - I love this idea, Mrs. B, of putting the peppers on top in a tray arrangement. Will give that a try. Thank you!
oops, sorry, my "mom" reply was to Paisley Penguin's comment, but I didn't enter it fast enough. :)
My main exciting plan is taking Rodrigo again to keep teaching me how to driv my inlaw's truck! LOL
We have so many types of pepper here, you'd love it!
PS: Congrats on your girl's talent show!
I'm glad you had a great time at the show! I hope all the 4th graders had fun. It sounds like they all worked hard.
You get to meet one of your internet frineds? Cool! that sounds like it will be fun.
I have a surprisingly eventful week! I am (hopefully) going bowling with some friends on Tueday, then on Wednesday I have a dentist appointment. We also get progress reports this week. It doesn't sound like much- but that's more than what usually goes on in a week for me. xP
I am so looking forward to Friday, too!
hmmm....quesadillas. I make them for myself all the time.
my fave are veggie and cheese and if a ripe avacado is handy for some quac...HEAVEN.
I remember when I was in 4th grade, way back in 1978 (!!!), there was a school talent show. A few 5th grade girls did a dance routine where they wore skimpy, sequined body suits. I, being 9 years old, thought they looked great. My parents were absolutely appalled and horrified, LOL. At the time I couldn't understand why, but I sure understand now! Heh.
I absolutely love these frugal meal tips! Keep 'em comimg please!
Have a great coffee date with blog-friend!
