Just a few quick notes for Monday

Just a quick note to get everyone up to speed.

Let's see..... today is Mr. B.'s first official day as a student!  He's taking classes via the internet.  The GI Bill will be reimbursing him for part of the cost towards his degree.  I couldn't be prouder of him for taking advantage of the opportunity!  Though he's got a great job that he's worked hard at, it certainly doesn't ever hurt to have a degree down on your resume.

If you have a minute, send some positive vibes/prayers off to my friend, Mrs. Coffee, and her family.  Her teenage son broke 2 bones in his arm at the end of last week, and will be having surgery today.   He needs a quick recovery to make sure that he can participate in an exchange type program this summer, going to Australia.  He's a really good kid.

It looks like we've worked out all the insurance crap so that my son should get his hearing aids this summer.  It took longer than I hoped, but at least we are moving forward.  It stank that we had already signed contracts for the work on the house before we started having these troubles, or we could have just paid them off already with part of the money we had for the house.  Couldn't take the chance of getting sued for breaking a contract and ending up owing for even more than we started in for.

When the house was done, though, we had some left over, and since we will be getting help with the hearing aids, me and Mr. B. decided to take a grown up vacation!  Yep, we are shipping the kids off to various relatives in July for 4 nights, 5 days and going to...... St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands!  How cool is that?  We booked an all inclusive package, which includes all our air fair, the hotel, food, drinks and some activities.  We'll be staying at the Wyndham Sugar Bay Resort, which looks amazing!  And we can really use this time, believe me.  It's been a rough year with issues with school, hearing aids, and various family issues here and there.

Don't feel sorry for the kids, though!  Miss M will be staying with my sister-in-law and her family and attending Harry Potter camp!  A week of playing quiddich, creating "spells" and meeting new people.  Right up her alley!  Mr. J will be staying with my in-laws and be spoiled rotten, not to mention having their pool (and attention) all to himself.   The Oldest will be with friends, for 5 days of World of Warcraft, junk food and video gaming.  So they are all having their own special vacations as well!

Now I'm off to put the last one on the bus and get busy!    Have a great day!

Harry Potter Camp!?! I'm so jealous. What's the age limit? I want to go to Harry Potter camp.

Or to the Virgin Islands, for that matter. Grown up vacations are oh-so-important. I hope you and Mr. B have an amazing time!

Hurray for your second honeymoon (hhmmm...)! As long as the kids will have fun too, it's great for everybody. Enjoy your time! :o) I hope that by now your friend's son is ok and recovering well!
And I bet Mr.,B is all excited with his new phase as a student again! Really great! As my late uncle used to say, knowledge is never too much.
