Tigger - my fat cat. Loves to try to get the tupperware open that his food is in. He will push it all over the kitchen and down the basement steps trying to get some extra treats.
If she is digging for your spare change perhaps my blog inspired her! That being said, I don't condone ferreting around in other peoples purses in any way shape or form as a method of finding coins! Just to clarify...
She just found out you had the winning scratch off ticket and she wanted to run off with it and buy a lifetime supply of kitty treats :) Either than or she needed some lip balm :)
I have two pet rats (don't make fun, they're my babies), and they always do that! I let them run around on the top of my dresser sometimes and I always find them in my purse, trying to snatch things to make a nest out of.
I've had cats, she could probably use an altoid or 2. :) Have you seen the pet mints they've had for years at the checkout at some stores? Do they still have them? They came in tins for dogs and for cats.
Giggle! My kitties are always getting into any bag they can - they LOVE those enviro-friendly cloth shopping bags. I'm always buying another one, with the cats in mind! Hope you don't have any catnip in that purse!
When Sochi was much younger, I caught him doing a commando raid on a bag of cheetos. I startled him and he backed out of that bag in warp speed, with orange coating on his whiskers and a "Who me?" look on his face. Cats. You have to love them. :)

Lol, I have a smiliar pic of my kitty too. They're looking for money that we don't have, to make sure we can spend it on them. Duh!

I have a cat that I wish would go for a breathmint. Lucifer likes to go eat some wet cat food, then he gets in your face and exhales.
What is it with cats and bags? Mine gets into any type of bag she can. She can't get into my purse... no room for her fat bottom.
