First up (though this is not the best photo, lol!), our garlic has been harvested and is drying out nicely!
The shallots are drying out a bit as well. Some of these will go back in the ground for another harvest in the fall.
Calendula and chamomile are being harvested daily and dried.
Onions are about ready to come out!
White sage is getting it's grow on. (And culinary sage as well!)
Peppers and tomatoes are pretty close. Usually, by this date, we're eating them, but we had cold weather later this year than usual, and they didn't get in as early as they usually do.
And we've got some killer melons coming in! This is our first year doing them vertically.
And various culinary, magical and medicinal herbs are growing their behinds off. I didn't get a good shot of my mugwort, but it's HUGE! Has to be at least 5 foot high already!

your garlic looks beautiful.... as well as everything else.... I just love the summer months and gardening...
o0o0o0o0o love the pictures of your plants and your harvestings! looks so useful and delicious
Oh how I wish my garden looked as good. We're doing well with Potatoes, carrots, lettuce and strawberries. Our tomatoes are only just flowering and the leaves look like we have blight (we've had so much rain this spring I've only had to water my garden twice in the last two months) everything else is coming along slowly
My rosemary was doing wonderful. It went from a clean Christmas Tree shape to a very unkempt bush. That doesn't bother me at all, but now some leaves are turning yellow :(
i have been the worst gardener these past few years but your Growingness has motivated me to take up the seed again- albeit late, but i live in Cali so I make get something out of it before autumn :D
our garden is not going as good as it has in previous years..
#1, took longer to get the water fixed and running
#2, college classes come first
#3, fluctuating weather
#4, weeds took over before we could take care of them
But it is getting better.. my better half built some small garden boxes.. filled them with dirt and potting soil.. so there are a few things growing..
Your garden and harvest looks good!! thanks for sharing!
Beautiful garden! And what a harvest you'll get this year.
Here's my garden:

Everything looks so wonderful and delicious!
Everything looks yummmy! I would love to have a vegetable garden but will have to wait until I get a house. For now, I make do with an ever growing collection of herbs on my patio.
All that green makes this carnivore twitch.
I'm a little jealous! Our recent freezing weather either killed many people's gardens, or stunted them. Mine looks like an early May garden - nothing has been harvested yet. :( But my zucchini is finally getting big, the beans are finally growing, and I have ONE strawberry! Yay!
Wow! I'm jealous of all the wonderful things you have growing. Where do you get all your herbs? Transplants or seeds?
My garden is actually hanging in there, but this is our off season. Down here in FL my gardening season is pretty much from Sept to May... June, July & August it's just about keeping the plants protected from rainstorms and heat as much as possible and nursing them through the summer. This August I plan to start seeds indoors so they'll be ready to transplant in Sept: tomatoes, peppers, strawberries, cukes, squash, etc. and in Sept/Oct I'll put up some lettuce, spinach, carrots & herbs.
I don't have a real garden though... I have a big screen porch container garden. So other than herbs we are not sustained by our harvest, however we find it really rewarding to have it.
I just planted my garlic. This year is my first year and the garden i planted initially did not go well at all. But on solstice I planted a whole new batch of seeds. It has been just over a week and they look amazing!
I hope that next year I will get a better handle on this garden thing.
ps when do you know garlic is ready?
Beautiful! I'm actually housesitting - which includes dog, chicken *and* garden ... so I'm reaping benefits from both! I've been eating cooked greens every day - beet and russian kale, as well as broccoli, peas, multi-colored/textured salads and I see some summer squash making itself ready!
Life is sweet!
We get most of our seeds from http://www.johnnyseeds.com/
They have almost everything you could possibly need - and the site has great videos on planting and care of plants!
As for garlic, we follow a "plant on the fall equinox, harvest on the summer solstice" planting schedule. Other than that, it's usually about ready to grab when the green tops have started turning brown.
Here's a great article on the subject!
